LHOTSE EXPEDITION
Lhotse, the fourth-highest Peak in the world at 8,516 meters, is well known for being close to Mount Everest. The Lhotse Expedition’s climbing path parallels the Everest ascent, including the appropriately called Lhotse face almost all the way to the summit of Everest’s Geneva Spur. From there, it climbs steeply through a lengthy couloir.
Lhotse features three summits, the lowest of which, Lhotse Shar, is 8,383 meters high. Next in order of altitude is Lhotse East, also known as Middle, standing at the height of 8,413 metres. And the best season for this journey is in Spring (April-May). However, it’s also available in Autumn (August-October) which is also a great season for a trek in this region.
